Final Exam Post Part THREE

My most successful project was not hard to choose. I believe I did the best on the canvas painting of the elk and the mountains. In this project I feel I took risks and I feel I collaborated with others (mainly Mr. Grayson's dad).
My least successful project was the project where we used frames to represent us in some way. I love to play soccer so I chose to do soccer cleats as my picture in the frame. What I could've done is put the cleats in front of my feet so it looked like I was wearing them.

Final Exam Post Part TWO

I chose my canvas painting as my representative as my piece of art that shows one of my art qualities. My quality was creating original art. I was inspired by my trip to Alaska to create a painting of the northern wilderness. I used my own unique ideas through what the actual wilderness will look like and the colors I will throw in. I did have another source of inspiration from a picture I found online that I changed up to suit my style in the painting.

Final Exam Post Part ONE

The first project I chose to present in this final post was True Shadow Project. In this project, I used specific art skills to make the technological art work. I had to determine first of all what I thought Google's true shadow was, which took an inspired art mind to think up. I chose "wicked" because people can interpret that in two different ways, which is perfect for a piece of art to have the viewer wondering what the true meaning is. Also, to keep it looking real, I had to think of what direction and to what magnitude the shadow should go.
The second project I chose to present in this post was the slice project. Even though it was very unoriginal, I chose to slice open an apple and there would be a orange inside. The technology aspect of this project included being able to swap an apple interior with an orange. First of all, to make life easy, I chose two pictures that were facing the same direction so I could mix them together easily. Next, I lined up the pictures in Photoshop and cropped out every part I didn't need. Next I did a bit of blurring to make the two pictures blend together better.

Day 6

hairy potter

Day 7

For todays project, my super hero was Larry the Cable Guy. Since he played the role of Tow Mater in Cars: The Movie, I threw Mater's face on Larry the Cable Guy. I also gave Larry the Cable Guy a tattoo on his bicep to show that it's him. Here is my masterpiece:

Google is Wicked

For today's project, I decided to put "wicked" as "google"'s shadow.

You can interpret that as Google being evil, or Google being awesome.

Tall cripple me

My name is Carter and i am crippled, the first fact you should know when you meet me is I am tall. Another thing you need to know is I am crippled. I can't do anything because I am crippled. My tallness is also a disability I hit a lot of thing with my head. My head has hit so many things it has become deformed. The last thing you should know is that I always have water. Without water I am dead. I celebrate water. I breathe water. I drink water. I sleep water. I love water. I am water.

Post It Note Project

For the Post-It Note Project...

I created a majestic picture of this dude. However, Grayson mainly did the work.
We changed the color of the first picture to blues, red, and yellows. Then we made it into pixel blocks.
Afterwards, we stuck sticky notes onto a big green paper.

Grayson did everything, I sat there and watched him.

Remember-

Hellow this is my first post

Post-It Note Project

Hello young child. My name is Carter Toonis.

The alphabet I can recite: azbdgkleafksdjafklqnasf, next time won't you sing with me!

I wear clothes mainly, but sometimes I just wear blankets.

Yes.

Newimal Project

For the newimal project, I had to find an animal that went well with my zoo project animal, which was a chimpanzee. After a long time searching (and some suggestions from Mr. Grayson's Dad), I chose to put a boar head on a chimp body. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. This is it:

Forced Perspective

For my forced perspective, me and my partner had no inspiration so we decided to do something simple. I put two of my pictures up by the sun and my partner moved the camera to capture the perfect perspective. This is how it turned out:

Personality Portraits

My personality portrait is very simple but very clean. My way of showing my personality is to reveal that I really enjoy playing soccer. Soccer is my life. I love Nike boots, especially these Magistas. I can totally afford them (not!)!

Canvas Painting: Elk with Mountain Backdrop

When I chose how to paint my canvas, I had several factors in mind. First of all, I wanted to do something in nature because I believe nature's work is more beautiful than man-kinds work. Also, I decided my favorite landscape was mountains as a couple years ago I went to Alaska where I saw mountains, mountains, and more mountains and I fell in love with them. Going on with the Alaska theme, I decided I wanted a northern animal that would go well with the environment. I wasn't too keen on anything like a bear so I decided to choose a mammal in the Cervidae (deer) family called an elk. It looks like a smaller version of a moose. This is how it turned out:

Cartoon

My cartoon is not finished yet but this is what I have so far. The story line is about an alien walking in the woods when he was abducted by humans (I know! ironic!). He has to figure out a way to escape alive.

Cartoon Bones

For my cartoon bones project, I chose a random cool looking Pokemon from Google images and printed it out. Then I copied it onto see through paper and copied it again on another sheet of paper. On that sheet, I gradually erased it and added in bones. I ended with this:

Pancakes Like to Smile

Pancakes like to smile.
My first project for Art One was giving a pancake a vicious smile on Adobe Photoshop CC 2014. I decided to take a different route and give him a GORGEOUS human smile than the generic carnivorous fish grin. I don't think it turned out too great though because I couldn't quite make it blend together.
